JEJU · 3-4 DAYS
Volcanic paths,
wind and open coast.
Jeju looks small on a map, but driving across the island takes time. Choose an east, west or south focus and keep one flexible day for wind, rain and trail conditions.
BASE
Where to stay
Jeju City for short trips and airport access; Seogwipo for southern waterfalls and a calmer base; Seongsan for the east coast and an early start. Two bases can work on a four-night trip.

Getting around
A rental car offers the most flexibility; confirm whether your license and an International Driving Permit are required. Buses work for a focused route, but transfers are slower. Taxis suit one or two travelers on selected days.
4 DAYS
Suggested itinerary
- Day 1: Jeju City market, Yongyeon and an easy arrival day.
- Day 2: Seongsan Ilchulbong, Seopjikoji and a short eastern Olle section.
- Day 3: Choose Hallasan with a reservation where required, or waterfalls and coast around Seogwipo.
- Day 4: West coast cafés, Hallim Park or a weather-friendly museum route.
WEATHER
Keep a backup day
High winds can affect flights, ferries and mountain access. Check official trail and weather notices on the morning of your hike, not only when you book.
PACE
One side per day
Avoid circling the entire island for individual landmarks. A coastal walk, one main sight and a long local meal usually makes a better Jeju day than six distant stops.
